During the second civil war in Sudan circa 1983, roughly 1.9 million civilians were killed in southern Sudan, and more than 4 million southerners have been forced to flee their homes at one time or another since the war began. The civilian death toll is one of the highest of any war since World War II.
These pictures show but a small aspect of current life in Southern Sudan which is the largest country in Africa and one of the richest regarding oil and fertile land resources that remain out of the control of its native population which was partly why the war was started in the first place.
The other part was due to British manipulation and Arab Islamic invasion.
